Two groups well-known to astute hip-hop fans — Dipset and therefore the Lox — are slated for subsequent Verzuz battle, scheduled at 8 p.m. Tuesday via Instagram, the Triller app, the Fite TV app. Both groups have ties to hip-hop’s mainstream and New York’s hyperlocal scene, while maintaining a national following via mixtape volume prowess and status record label associations. Dipset, otherwise referred to as The Diplomats, may be a Harlem-based collective consisting of Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones and Freekey Zekey.
